How Chamberlain Coffee grew from an everyday habit
Long before a product lineup existed, coffee was one of Emma Chamberlain’s familiar routines. The cafés of San Francisco, the atmosphere around them, and coffee shared with family and friends all contributed to that connection. Beginning in 2016, the YouTube videos Emma published often included the simple act of preparing coffee.
The cold brew beginning
Chamberlain Coffee emerged through testing, not a shortcut. After hundreds of taste tests, Family Blend cold brew singles became the first product. The search for a coffee supplier included samples of more than 100 coffees and ultimately led to beans sourced from Peru, Colombia, Guatemala, Honduras, and Uganda.
The coffee is roasted in small batches. Chamberlain Coffee’s coffee bags also carry USDA organic certification, supporting a range designed to combine quality with an uncomplicated routine.
Where the matcha comes from
For matcha, the brand works from another established tradition. Its organic matcha originates in Shizuoka, Japan, a region associated with more than 750 years of tea cultivation. Tencha leaves are ground into matcha described as Ceremonial Grade A and 100% Japanese green tea. Traditional supplier methods and rigorous testing are documented parts of the process.
Many formats, one approachable idea
The collection has expanded across ground and whole-bean blends, cold brew options, flavored matcha, and accessories. Each offers a different entry into the same idea: coffee and tea can be both thoughtfully made and genuinely fun.
